Hello ladies,
May the Lord give you His peace!
You made it to the vocations webpage which means you may be asking yourself, “Could God possibly be calling me to be His bride?” If you’re anything like me when I first asked myself that question as a junior in high school, from rural Nebraska, you may be responding to God with your plans of what your life should look like. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, it wasn’t until I had reached a point of surrender in my prayer that I was able to respond with a joyful “yes!” to the Lord’s gentle invitation. Through daily prayer and the Sacraments the Lord continued to reveal over time how my heart was made to love. I recognized a deep desire within my heart to give myself totally to Jesus in response to the love I had first received from Him. What an incredible gift this vocation has been to my life!
Dear sister in Christ, God also has made your heart to love in a particular way within a particular vocation. Perhaps you have already heard our Lord’s invitation, and if so, run to Him with all your heart. If you’re not quite sure what our Lord is asking then talk with a sister who can answer questions you might have. Remember, you aren’t alone in your discernment! Vocation directors are here to help you discern God’s will, whether you’re called to their community or to another.
As you continue to discern God’s will for your life, I encourage you to invite Our Blessed Mother into your journey, if you haven’t already. She will teach you how to open your heart to receive all the graces our Lord wants to give you and lead you closer to His Sacred Heart that burns with love for you.
There are many young women, like you, who are seeking to know the Lord’s will, and many young women come to our home throughout the year to see if this is where God may be calling them. If you would like more information about our community please fill out the contact information below.
In the Joy of Jesus & Mary,
Sister Amy Marie, M.S.
